The Natural body type
Blunt bone, moderate flesh, and no sharp edges anywhere.
Also written N, kibbe natural, pure natural.
What a Natural body type is
Natural is the middle of the Natural family. The bone is blunt and slightly broad — square-ish shoulders, sturdy hands and feet, wide rather than sharp facial bones — and the flesh over it reads even rather than lush or taut. The vertical line is moderate, which is what separates it from Flamboyant Natural.
The defining experience of the type is that structured clothing looks borrowed. A set-in shoulder sits on top of a shoulder that is already blunt and wide, and the result reads stiff. Unconstructed shapes that skim rather than grip are what make a Natural look like herself.
It is easy to under-read, because nothing about it is extreme: not tall enough for Flamboyant Natural, not soft enough for Soft Natural. The tell is the bone. If your shoulders are blunt and broad and your flesh is genuinely even, this is the reading.
The axis reading
A worked example — one set of quiz answers that returns Natural, scored on the four axes. Each runs from −1.00 (fully yin) to +1.00 (fully yang).
width +0.40 ≥ sharpness +0.00 → blunt yang bone, flesh and vertical balanced

- Ornate, delicate, intricate detail
- Tightly nipped waists
Questions
- Natural or Flamboyant Natural?
- Scale. Both have blunt, broad bone and moderate flesh. A Flamboyant Natural carries it on a longer vertical line and at greater width, so it needs bigger, looser shapes. Put a Natural in Flamboyant Natural proportions and she looks swamped rather than relaxed.
- What is the difference between Natural and Soft Natural?
- Flesh. A Natural's reads even; a Soft Natural's reads soft and rounded, usually with a visible waist. The bone is the same in both. That changes the advice: a Natural wants unconstructed shapes, a Soft Natural wants soft shapes that still acknowledge the waist.
- Why does structured clothing look bad on Naturals?
- Because it adds a shoulder line to a shoulder that is already blunt and wide. Construction exists to build a shape the body does not have; on a Natural the body already has it, so the garment reads as an extra layer rather than as tailoring.
