The Body Shape Report

Free browser tools that answer what body shape am I, and show the comparison behind every answer instead of asking you to take it on faith.

Who publishes this

The site is written and built by Taro Schenker and published by Known by One, LLC, a Delaware company. It is a small independent site, not a magazine, a retailer or a clinic, and there is no editorial board behind it.

That matters, because the usual move here is to imply an authority that does not exist — a panel of stylists, a proprietary system, a study nobody links to. There is no governing body for body shape and no qualification that confers the right to define one. So instead of a credential, the rules the calculator uses are published in full on the methodology page: every threshold, the order the tests run in, where the numbers came from, and the four cases the method cannot see. You can read the method and disagree with it, which is a better basis for trusting a tool than a byline is.

What happens to your measurements

Nothing. The calculator runs entirely in your browser — the arithmetic happens on your device, no measurement is transmitted, and there is no account to create. Close the tab and the numbers are gone.

Corrections, a measurement the calculator gets wrong, or anything else: contact@bodyshapereport.com. If you think a threshold sits in the wrong place, say so — the numbers are published so they can be argued with, and the methodology page records it when they change.

Four measurements, one answer, and the arithmetic printed underneath it.
