The Gamine body type
A compact frame carrying yin and yang at once, with neither one resolving.

What a Gamine body type is
Gamine is the only type in the system defined by a contradiction rather than a direction. The other twelve sit somewhere on a line from yang to yin; a Gamine sits on both ends at once. A compact vertical line carries sharp bone in some places and soft, delicate readings in others, and the answers genuinely disagree.
In this quiz that disagreement is a finding rather than an error, which is why the Gamine test runs before every other test. If a compact frame's bone and flesh are far enough apart, resolving that gap into a single dominant axis would file the person under the wrong family — the same reason hip dominance is checked before waist definition in the body shape calculator.

- It means yin and yang held in opposition on a compact frame, rather than a position on the scale between them. Every other Kibbe family is a direction — more yang, more yin, or balanced. Gamine is a contradiction that does not resolve, and that is why it is tested first here.
- Gamine, Soft Gamine or Flamboyant Gamine?
- Flesh decides. All three are compact frames in opposition. Flamboyant Gamine's flesh reads lean and taut, Soft Gamine's reads soft and rounded with a marked waist, and pure Gamine's reads even between the two. The bone contrast is the same in all three.
- Is Gamine a rare Kibbe type?
